Knit Angora Hat

Instructions:
3 balls angora (180 yards approximately) a light mohair could be substituted for the angora
1 skein knitting worsted
#6 circular needle - 16 inch

With worsted cast on 100 stitches. Join being careful not to twist. Work in K2 P2 ribbing for 28 rounds. Break yarn and join angora. Knit plain for 17 rounds (about 2.5 inches ) Break angora and join wool. Knit 10 rounds. Break yarn and join angora. Knit plain for 20 rounds (about 3 inches ) First decrease round: K 2 together 50 times (50 stitches ) Knit 1 round. Second decrease round: K 2 together 25 times (25 stitches) Knit 1 round. Third decrease K 2 together 12 times, K1 (13 stitches). Knit 1 round. Fourth decrease round: K 2 together 6 times, K1 (7 stitches) Break angora leaving an end. Thread angora into needle and draw through the 7 stitches. Draw up tightly and fasten off. Turn the 28 rows of ribbing to wrong side.
