Would you like to be notified when we send out a newsletter or update the webpage? please email us & include "newsletter subscription" in the title. 3/17/03 3:30 PM Happy St. Patricks Day! This is the first newsletter since AOL scrambled our address book. We have a new newsletter service and hope we have everyone's address correct. If you receive two copies let us know which e-mail name to delete or if you no longer want to receive the newsletter let us know that too. Thanks. The Knitting Revival caught the yarn companies unprepared to ship all of our orders. Yarns have been slow in coming in but the shipments are beginning to pick up and we hope they will be caught up in the next few weeks. We are getting fall and winter re-orders along with the new spring and summer yarns. We are still waiting for the elusive black Crisantemo, but we have received other colors as well as Fizz. We do have black Fizz and it can be combined with Eros, Flora, Charm and some of the other carry along yarns. New spring-like lighter colors of Firenze and stars have arrived. When you are in the store, be sure to look behind the counter. Hanging there are several lighter weight yarns in lighter colors and textures for scarves and spring and summer sweaters. If you are getting the jump on special scarves for Christmas giving be sure to check out the new Chameleon from Trendsetter. It looks and feels very much like the Maxima everyone loved in the fall. It's a very bulky chenille and we have five fun colors in stock. Another multi textured new yarn Four Seasons has arrived also. Those of you who are sock lovers have not been forgotten! Regia has a new cotton/wool combo, which makes lighter weight socks for spring and summer. Crocodile 1 and 2 are the newest offerings from Opal. New colors of Sockotta sock yarn - also with more cotton have arrived. Of course we also have a good supply of the other Regia yarns - especially the newer Multi-Effect colors. The sock reinforcing yarns are back in stock. As you know we are on an automatic for all new books. The latest Jackets has sold out in three days and been re-ordered. If you want a copy, be sure to put your name on the waiting list. The new spring and summer magazines including Knit-It are in stock. Don't forget our needlepoint, cross stitch, stitchery, and tatting sections on the second floor. I will be ordering Christmas items in the next week or two so they will be here in time to finish for Christmas. Many of you know my granddaughter Heidi who sometimes works in the shop and helps me with the newsletter. We have a new member on our website team, grandson Chris. He will do the programming and Heidi will continue doing the graphics. Watch for changes on the site (www.creative-corner.net) The site address has changed too, so if you have it book marked you will want to change it to the new address. One of the changes Chris is making is in the yarn name list. Click on the yarn name and you will see the color cards. A few of them are ready now, but as fast as I can scan them he will add them to the page. |
